One-on-one yoga sessions with Sandra are a valuable and popular choice for individuals for many reasons.  Some have time concerns and others simply want private attention to help quicken their practice.  Individual, one on one sessions can help to establish a home practice and allow time for specific health issues.  With individual attention we can focus on your unique goals to design a program that fits your constitution, health and fitness level.  You will discover what Yoga and Ayurveda can do for you.

Integrative Yoga Therapy is a holistic health system that blends the ancient teachings of yoga with the latest advances in mind-body medicine.  This synthesis of yoga postures, deep breathing, relaxation, meditation, guided imagery and releasing techniques and Yoga Nidra provides a natural antidote to the stress of contemporary living and promotes overall health.  Over a thousand well-designed studies of yoga and meditation have documented a wide range of health benefits including decreases in cholesterol, blood pressure, heart rate, arthritis, insulin requirement, asthma, anxiety, and depression.

Sandra’s training in Integrative Yoga Therapy includes Ayurveda, Yoga’s sister science.  She offers constitutional analysis, pulse diagnosis,  lifestyle management and  diet recommendations.  You will successfully change your lifestyle patterns and improve your health.  Everyone registered in a series of individual sessions is welcome to attend as many of her weekly classes as they would like to at no additional cost.

 COST: $75  per hour or $200 for 3 one-hour sessions  (if prepaid)

Yogic Cleansing Kriyas - The Shatkarmas

The Shatkarmas are powerful Hatha Yoga cleansing techniques which are easy for anyone to learn and make part of their regular health care program.  Each individual is encouraged to learn them with experienced supervision, and then maintain regular use on your own.

Jala Neti uses a special pot to pour warm saline water through the nostrils, cleaning the entire sinus cavity. To read more about Neti Cleansing see the following:

Kungal Kriya helps to rid the body of excess acidity, phlegm and old mucus and gas -- and has a profound effect on the thyroid gland as well as the ear, nose and throat area. Warm saline water is used to clear the upper alimentary canal to the stomach.

Laghoo Shankaprakshalana detoxifies the intestinal system and encourages its proper functioning. Warm Saline water is flushed through with the help of a series of eight Hatha Yoga postures.

These practices have been used for centuries by Yogis to keep the functioning of the bodily systems operating optimally by keeping them clean. The practices are safe and effective for most people.
